Berg and İpekçi work for Mardin promotion

MARDİN - In collaboration with world-known photographer Alexander Berg, famous Turkish fashion designer Cemil İpekçi will promote the eastern city of Mardin.

Berg, who has come to the city upon invitation from Mayor Hasan Duruer, will take photos in Mardin and its villages for a week. The photos will be combined with İpekçi’s designs for a promotional album.

Duruer said they were trying to draw the world’s attention to Mardin, adding they believed that the photos would make a great contribution to the city’s promotion.

He wants to come again

Berg, who is visiting historical places and villages with İpekçi, said the city was very rich for a photographer and that working there was a great pleasure. He said he was planning to go to Mardin more often and work in larger areas.

Villagers have shown great interest in Berg, who is currently working in the ancient city of Dara.
